Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released the following statement on the bipartisan agreement reached between Congress and the Administration to provide additional funding for hospitals, COVID-19 testing, and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for small businesses:
“This agreement is a critical step towards setting our country on the path to recovery. The aid for testing and hospitals is essential for our communities and ensuring the safety of our industry’s workers.
“In addition, our members have described the Paycheck Protection Program as a lifesaver. The additional funding announced today will provide small businesses—who may not have been able to take advantage of the program in the first round—with the resources they need to help keep workers employed and supply chains flowing. We urge Congress to pass this legislation and the President to sign it swiftly.”
