Arlington, Va. – Today, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) released the following statement following the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the Build Back Better Act:
“We were glad to see the House pass the Build Back Better Act, and we encourage the Senate to quickly take up the legislation. The bill provides important funding that will help the aerospace and defense industry meet its sustainability commitments. There are several tax and funding provisions that will encourage and support the research and development of innovative, next generation green aviation technologies and products, including sustainable aviation fuels and hybrid-electric propulsion systems. Those technologies and products will play a critical role in our ability to continue to combat climate change. We were also pleased to see that the bill includes funding for NASA and NOAA infrastructure.”
