Arlington, Va. (July 14, 2022) – Today, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning issued the following statement following the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023:
“Our national security is an enduring responsibility that requires stable and predictable investment. We must ensure adequate and reliable funding for our national security, including the defense industrial base that provides critical support for our warfighters. Getting the investment right is critical. But getting the policies right is also important to maximizing the impact of these investments and maximizing consistency, transparency, and efficiency.
“We applaud the House for leading the NDAA across the finish line with strong bipartisan support and urge the Senate to swiftly follow suit.”
