Arlington, Va. (March 9, 2023) – Today, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning issued the following statement outlining AIA’s space priorities in President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget:
“The Biden Administration’s FY24 budget comes at an important, exciting time for the U.S. space sector. Over the last few years, the world has been awed by the James Webb Space Telescope, Artemis 1 launch, and Commercial Crew programs — all historic achievements made possible by bipartisan, multiyear commitment and investment. AIA and our member companies look forward to continued bipartisan support from the Administration and Congress for investments in exploration, science, and technology; our future workforce at NASA and NOAA; and to further our national security space leadership. These efforts must be accompanied by support for critical functions at the Department of Commerce and FAA to enable commercial space activity, maintain U.S. global competitiveness, and ensure a sustainable space environment.”
