Arlington, Va. (March 11, 2024) – Today, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning issued the following statement outlining AIA’s civil aviation priorities in President Biden’s fiscal year 2025 budget:
“The President’s fiscal year 2025 budget comes at a critical time for our industry. We must keep our sights set on maintaining the United States’ role as the gold standard for global aviation safety, allowing for the safe integration of new and emerging technologies in our national airspace while ensuring the continued efficiency of current operations, achieving our goals in sustainability, and building the workforce to support these efforts,” Fanning said. “This will not be accomplished without significant and stable funding for the Federal Aviation Administration, and we thank the President for prioritizing safe and sustainable aviation in his budget. AIA will continue working with the Administration and Congress to ensure our aerospace sector remains competitive, innovative, and resilient in the years to come.”
