Arlington, Va. – Today, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released the following statement in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Chicago Convention, which established the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to coordinate international aviation principles.
“The Chicago Convention revolutionized how the world uses the skies for travel and transport,” Fanning said. “Today, we have the opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitment to supporting the continued growth and advancement of global aviation. As we look toward the future, AIA remains committed to collaborating with ICAO to ensure a safe, secure, and sustainable aviation industry for generations to come.”
Fanning, in his capacity as chair of the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA), joined ICAO for an anniversary event in Chicago.
