To do business with the Department of Defense, companies are required to implement specific cybersecurity controls to protect ‘controlled unclassified information’ (CUI). DOD has adapted and restructured the controls currently prescribed in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171 into a new framework known as ‘Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification’ (CMMC). On Thursday, February 25 at 11:00AM ET, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) will host a webinar and moderated Q&A with the panelists discussing these forthcoming changes, the challenges companies face when trying to identify CUI, and other related issues.
