AIA’s Role
To act as a convener between AIA member companies, the DoD and other govt agencies to align on harmonized and efficient regulations and policies
- Establish industry consensus positions in response to the DoD’s Digital Engineering policies and guidance. Promote opportunities to collaborate with all branches of the DoD as the continuation of emerging technologies are introduced to the defense acquisition enterprise.
- Drive the DE software tools vendor who support A&D industry to establish non-proprietary solution sets to ensure the interoperable exchange of digital data for the acquisition lifecycle ecosystem.
- Establish a measurement framework for capturing Complete the DE Metrics PSM publication as a member of the cross-organizational DE metrics working group, then evaluate the effectiveness across the A&D industry (2022). (Digital Engineering Measurement Framework)
- Promote digital enablers and other emerging technologies to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of airworthiness engineering.
