The EMC represents AIA on matters concerning model based digital transformation, product lifecycle engineering design processes, advanced manufacturing, product reliability,Engineeringdata interoperability, Long-Term Archiving and Retrieval (LOTAR),custodianship of data and the impacts of REACH chemical restrictions. The EMC is responsible for standardizing engineering and program management processes for configuration management, design verification, systems engineering, standardization practices, reliability, maintainability, systems safety, technical data requirements and exchange, product definition requirements, software management, and drafting practices throughout all areas of the supply chain and the product life-cycle of military and other federal government aircraft, missiles, and space vehicles.
