Arlington, Va. (July 20, 2023) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended the U.S. House of Representatives for overwhelmingly voting to pass the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act (H.R. 3935), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill.
“As the bill title suggests, the House-passed, five-year Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization sets American aviation on a path toward future success in developing new technologies, strengthening our world-class aviation workforce, and ensuring U.S. aviation safety remains the gold standard,” Fanning said. “The Aerospace Industries Association applauds the strong, bipartisan support for the bill’s progress on many of our members’ priorities, and we thank Chairman Sam Graves, Ranking Member Rick Larsen, Chairman Garret Graves and Ranking Member Steve Cohen for their continued support for American leadership in aviation manufacturing. We urge the Senate to follow suit to ensure a timely FAA reauthorization this year.”
