Arlington, Va. (June 23, 2023) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended the Senate Armed Services Committee, led by Chair Jack Reed (D-R.I.) and Ranking Member Roger Wicker (R-M.S.), and the House Armed Services Committee, led by Chair Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Ranking Member Adam Smith (D-Wash), for advancing the FY2024 National Defense Authorization Act.
“The Aerospace Industries Association welcomes the forward momentum on the National Defense Authorization Act — a critical next step toward completing both authorizing and appropriating bills by end of the fiscal year,” Fanning said. “We commend Senators Reed and Wicker and Representatives Rogers and Smith for their leadership and commitment to giving our troops the resources, authorities, and equipment they need to defend the country. We urge both chambers to swiftly take up and pass this legislation.”
