Arlington, Va. (February 13, 2024) – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended the Senate for passing the supplemental funding bill.
“This supplemental defense bill is about America: building American manufacturing capacity and modernizing American military capabilities. This critical legislation injects much needed investment into our defense industrial base, replenishes American stockpiles with new and better equipment, and provides American-made equipment to our partners and allies fighting for freedom,” Fanning said. “We appreciate the Senate’s bipartisan support for this effort, and we urge the House to act in the same united fashion to send this vital supplemental to the President’s desk.”
AIA has called on Congress to make ongoing, stable investment in the defense industrial base, calling for action on both regular government funding bills as well as supplemental funding legislation.
