Arlington, Va. (March 9, 2024) – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today released the following statement after Congress passed full-year appropriations for Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Commerce, Justice, Science, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA):
“Space and aviation are two of the most critical areas propelling the country into a more vibrant future. After a series of continuing resolutions that stifled innovation, hurt the federal workforce, and delayed meaningful progress on key initiatives, AIA and our members are grateful Congress has provided full-year funding for the Federal Aviation Administration and NASA, and we continue to urge Congress to finalize funding for the rest of the federal government, especially the Department of Defense.”
