Arlington, Va. – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the leading voice for the American aerospace and defense industry, today announced that Steve Jordan Tomaszewski has been promoted from Senior Director of National Security Space to Vice President of Space Systems, effective immediately.
“No one is more passionate about the future of the space industry than Steve, and as our new Vice President of Space Systems, he is poised to help our members tap into the wealth of opportunities that lie ahead,” said Eric Fanning, AIA’s President and CEO. “He’s earned this promotion after building a solid reputation with our government partners, members, and within our own organization, and the team is excited to see what he does in this new role.”
Jordan Tomaszewski has been with AIA since August 2022. As Senior Director of National Security Space, he worked closely with AIA’s membership to advocate for policies, regulations, and investments that ensure American leadership and strong industry partnerships across the national security space enterprise. In his new role, he will continue to leverage his insights to champion AIA’s broader space agenda, from promoting commercial space flight, to strengthening a resilient national security space architecture, to supporting a robust civil space sector.
Prior to joining AIA, Jordan Tomaszewski was with The Aerospace Corporation, where he provided technical policy advice to senior Department of Defense executives in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. He continues to serve in the military as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force Reserve, assigned to the National Reconnaissance Office. Learn more about Jordan Tomaszewski here.
