Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended Congress for passing the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25 NDAA).

“Equipping the warfighter, building capacity, and investing in research and development to modernize our military are key pillars of our national security strategy – and the U.S. defense industrial base relies on Congress to send clear demand signals to do just that. Congress passing this year’s National Defense Authorization Act enables industry to do what it does best: out-innovate, outpace, and outperform our adversaries,” Fanning said.

“AIA is grateful to Congress for their overwhelming bipartisan support and urge President Biden to swiftly sign this bill into law.”

Among the provisions AIA has supported in the bill,  AIA is pleased to see the inclusion of important streamlining improvements in acquisition and contracting procedures that are designed to encourage the domestic sourcing of critical materials and incentivize new companies to enter the defense industrial base.
