Arlington, Va. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 266, the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, to provide additional funding for hospitals, COVID-19 testing, and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for small businesses. The legislation now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law. Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released the following statement:
“The American people are confronting this public health crisis in extraordinary ways. The Administration and Congress are once again supporting these heroic efforts in record time as evidenced by this additional aid, which will strengthen the health of our communities and help our small businesses move our nation forward. At the same time, planning and preparation for recovery is critical to ensuring its success. AIA is working on several proposals that can help serve as a blueprint for our industry and the American economy to confidently return to full strength, rebuild resiliency, and recover stronger and safer than before.”
