Arlington, Va. — As the continuing resolution to fund the government through December 11 heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law, Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning released the following statement:
“While avoiding a government shutdown is important, continuing resolutions undermine the certainty and consistency critical to America’s safety and security, particularly as this crisis continues. Aerospace and defense companies of all sizes—especially small- and medium-sized ones—need stability. Congress must now turn its attention to additional relief measures and to full appropriations as key ingredients for protecting these American jobs and ensuring American economic and national security.”
