Arlington, Va. (March 9, 2023) – Today, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning issued the following statement outlining AIA’s civil aviation priorities in President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget:
“Recent headlines have shown the importance of sufficient investment in the FAA, and with FAA reauthorization and important deadlines related to 5G deployment on the horizon this year, the President’s FY24 budget comes during a pivotal time for our industry. We must remain focused on maintaining U.S. leadership in aviation safety, modernizing airspace to allow for safe integration of innovative new technologies, and achieving our efficiency and sustainability goals. Working together with the Administration and Congress, we can ensure our aerospace sector remains competitive, innovative, and resilient in the years to come.”
