Arlington, Va. (Oct. 24, 2023) – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today praised the Senate for confirming Michael Whitaker as the new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) administrator.

It’s important that the FAA has its full leadership in place,” said Fanning. “We are grateful for Majority Leader Schumer and Minority Leader McConnell’s action and to the Biden Administration on this nomination, and we look forward to working with Administrator Whitaker to continue the United States’ legacy of safety and innovation in aviation.”
