(June 22, 2023) – The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today commended the House Appropriations Committee, led by Representatives Kay Granger (R-Texas) and Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), for advancing the Fiscal Year 2024 Defense appropriations legislation.
“On-time funding for national security is imperative, and the House Appropriations Committee, led by Rep. Granger and Rep. DeLauro, acted quickly to advance this year’s defense appropriations bill. As we heard from congressional members here at the Paris Air Show, there is strong, bipartisan, bicameral support for providing the resources needed to deter global threats, strengthen the national security innovation base, and replenish U.S. stocks used to bolster Ukraine. We will continue to work with Congress to ensure that government funding levels match the challenges the country, and the aerospace and defense industry, face.”
