Arlington, Va. (March 28, 2022) – Today, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning issued the following statement outlining AIA’s space priorities in President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget:
“Space has never been more critical to our economy and national security. Driven by U.S. industry innovation, its importance will only grow.
“We expect continued bipartisan, bicameral support in FY23 for our nation’s space investments, from expanding our national security space capabilities to continued growth across NASA’s aeronautics, science, exploration, and technology programs. We also need timely funding to support the next generation of weather satellites and enhance STEM education programs. These investments will ensure continued U.S. leadership, enabling our warfighters, creating new market opportunities, and fostering a better understanding of our planet while returning humans to the Moon and developing a diverse STEM workforce of tomorrow.”
