Arlington, Va. – Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning today released the following statement urging Congress to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government:
“The Aerospace Industries Association is disappointed that Congress is falling back on a continuing resolution to keep the government up and running for the second time this fiscal year. The stop-and-start pattern of lengthy continuing resolutions doesn’t allow real work to get done and prevents game-changing new programs from getting started,” Fanning said. “However, we maintain that a government shutdown is far worse, so we encourage Congress to support this temporary funding bill and to keep their noses to the grindstone to fully fund the government as soon as possible.”
