David HydeSenior Director, Sustainability

David Hyde is the Senior Director of Sustainability for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). In this role, Hyde collaborates with AIA members to advance the industry’s sustainability goals for the aviation, space, and national security sectors. 

Hyde rejoined AIA from the World Economic Forum, where he led and spearheaded multiple global initiatives to advance sustainability and innovation within the aviation industry, including zero-emission aircraft, Advanced Air Mobility, and autonomous flight. Prior to his first spell at AIA, Hyde started his career in aviation at the UK Department for Transport where he was responsible for various policies related to aviation noise and airspace modernization. 

Hyde holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Southampton, a Master of Science in Global Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London, and is currently completing his MBA at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
