Lizzie PattersonManager, Export Control Policy
Lizzie Patterson serves as the Manager for Export Control Policy at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), focusing on export controls, sanctions, and technology security and transfer issues impacting the aerospace and defense industry.
Before joining AIA, Patterson worked at the International Republican Institute (IRI), where she managed U.S. government-issued grants focused on strengthening political parties and youth leadership advancement. In this role, she worked closely with U.S. government officials, elected representatives, and civil society organizations throughout Europe to strengthen democratic practices and fortify transatlantic security and cooperation. Prior to IRI, Lizzie worked on several political campaigns and at the Embassy of France to the United States. Additionally, Patterson worked at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where she researched policies related to NOAA, NASA, and the FAA.
Patterson is a graduate of Indiana University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies and two certifications in Business Management and Global French.
