Senior Director, Legislative Affairs

Parker Chapman is the Senior Director of Legislative Affairs at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), focusing on national security and international affairs. With extensive experience and a strong background in Congressional oversight and legislation, Chapman brings valuable expertise to his role.

Previously, he served as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs. In this capacity, Chapman led the Committee’s oversight of the State Department and assisted in reviewing foreign military sales, direct commercial sales, and the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security’s entity list. His role also involved co-leading staff delegations to oversee U.S. embassy activities and collaborating with various committees on legislative matters.

Prior to that, Chapman served as the Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations at the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, where he conducted oversight of multi-billion-dollar procurement efforts.

Chapman holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Amherst College, where he was also a captain of the football team.
