Troy Gerry is the Vice President of 3M Government Markets. In this enterprise-wide role, he leads 3M’s strategic and operational engagement with the United States Government markets. With over 20 years at 3M in customer-facing roles, Troy brings a broad and relevant set of experiences to this critical function.

Before coming to Government Markets in 2021, Troy held several senior leadership roles within 3M. From 2018 to 2021, he was the Channel Director for 3M’s Safety and Industrial Business Group in Singapore, where he led an organizational transformation effort that led to accelerated growth across Asia and the South Pacific. From 2011 to 2018, he held senior leadership roles in 3M’s Industrial and Safety Markets Center, Transportation Safety Division, and Home Care Division – all in the United States.

Troy started at 3M in 2000 as a sales professional in the Stationery Products Division and shortly was promoted to manager roles – in both sales and marketing-focused positions – within both the Stationery Products and Home Care Divisions. Before coming to 3M, he earned a BA in International Business from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

Troy and his wife Erika live in Afton, Minnesota, where their 3 children keep them busy as sports fanatics and outdoor enthusiasts. Besides coaching in the youth hockey association where his children compete, Troy also serves on the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA).Troy Gerry is the Vice President of 3M Government Markets.
