This letter is written on behalf of several U.S. space organizations and highlights the importance of the space sector and the role of their members in commercial, national security, and civil space launches. We urge Congress to address a funding shortfall for the FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) and request $52.77 million to support licensing, regulatory streamlining, and efficiency efforts. This letter also emphasizes that reduced funding would impact the U.S. commercial space launch sector, national security, and NASA space launch activity.
