On September 5, 2023, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) President and CEO Eric Fanning sent a letter to congressional leadership requesting swift action on critical legislation to avoid a government shutdown, support national security, reverse a harmful research and development (R&D) tax code provision, and reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The letter also calls on Congress to address the very real challenges posed by inflation.
