The U.S. Aerospace Industries Association (AIA); ADS, the U.K. trade association for aerospace, defence, security and space organisations; and the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) released a joint paper outlining steps to reduce the trade, regulatory, and bureaucratic barriers that could hinder the historic AUKUS partnership. Together the three associations outlined strategic recommendations to facilitate closer cooperation across all three industrial bases. AIA also identified initial recommendations both multilaterally and singularly for the United States to operationalize AUKUS partnership. Overall, the documents represent the aerospace and defense industry’s perspective of a successful AUKUS and the tools required to meet the strategic imperative.
