On October 31, 2022, the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) provided recommendations to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to support the ongoing research, development, and operation of in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM) capabilities.
Per AIA’s comments, the FCC can support the U.S. space industry’s continued global leadership in ISAM capabilities through spectrum availability and licensing flexibility that allows the end-to-end provision of these varied – and still developing – services, while continuing to support the Administration’s current whole-of-government assessment of policy issues related to novel space activities.
